本章旨在介紹有關自我表現方面的技巧與策略,包括撰寫英文履歷表
( Resume ),準備工作簡報會
( Presentation ),以及英語演講
( Speech ) 的注意事項等,令各位可以更全面地展現自己的才能,爭取學業或工作上的最佳成績。
第三課 履歷表之工作經驗及學歷
Experience / Education
工作經驗Working
Experience:
你可以用不同方式表示,而一般多選擇以年份順序排列,由最近的工作寫起。同時,根據你申請工作的要求,提出相關的工作經驗,並選用主動動詞Action
Verbs(詳見本章第一課):
- Planned
and administrated
advertising and promotion activities for major clients.
- Managed
sales teams that effectively met changing business needs within
downsized corporate environment.
- Developed
process and procedures manual for administrative functions.
注意:
1)
目前的工作-action
verbs選用present
tense / continuous tense;過往的工作(已離職)-action
verbs選用past
tense。
2)
如果你沒有工作經驗的話,可直接寫學歷資料。但你若有相關的短期工、暑期工或兼職經驗,也不妨寫出來,例如文員或銷售員等,可讓主考者認識你的其他方面。

學歷Education:
一般來說,以最高學歷排先,例如博士、碩士、學士、專業文憑等。如果你已有大專學歷,可無須寫中學資料,除非你申請的是教職,或該工作與學校有關係。
如果你是中學畢業生,則須寫上校名,在校就讀年份如1996-2000,以及公開試成績,寫出合格至優良的科目,若成績不太好的話,便不用寫出來。
如果你曾修讀一些文憑或證書課程,而與你申請的工作性質有關,也可加上去,讓人覺得你不斷求上進,並有多方面的才學。

Experience:
對一些未有工作經驗或剛畢業的學生,如果曾經做過義務工作或校內組織活動,如籌辦比賽、開放日、展覽會、課外考察、及校際交流活動等,又或擔任期刊編輯、撰稿、採訪等,也可寫出來,彌補工作經驗不足。由於這些資料用作補充,所以應放在學歷之後。
