讀書與考試
許多人都會在讀書時遇到很多難題，例如不知如何做筆記，寫撮要，結果上完課後，很多課堂內容都忘掉，到考試時，更感恐懼和不知所措，我們特別提供一些有效的讀書方法及考試時的注意事項，令你易於了解課堂內容，並且可以鬆容應付考試。

Strategies：Before
the Exam
考試前準備：
（1）
資料搜集
Information Collection：
盡量收集有關考試範圍的資料及了解考試模式。（Find
out as much as information as you can about what material will be
covered on the exam and the format of the questions.）

複習試題
Review Old Exams：
重溫過往或其他同級的試題，嘗試找出問題的答案或所需資料，例如：導師是否經常問一些概念理論或某特定情況？一般問題都是傾向於問定義、理論的解釋或比較、舉例、特性、過程步驟，只要找出考試問題的類型，便可作出分析。（If
you have old exams from this class or from another class in this
field, try to figure out the type of information asked for. For
example: does the instructor ask questions on general concepts or
specific details? Find out frequent type of information asked for
tend to be: definitions of terms, explanations or comparisons of
theories, contributions of famous people in the field,
characteristics of systems, steps in processes.）

擬定讀書計劃 Set
up a Study Plan：
找出自己所能應用的學習時間，計算每科目的時間分配，定下目標，以考試日期為限，你可按自己的能力擬定前、中、後期計劃，並作出檢討。例如離考試還有兩個月的時間，第一個月可複習課文及筆記，遇到不明白的地方盡量請教師長，跟著兩星期重溫測驗及過往試題，最後兩星期作重點溫習。（Organize
yourself for study and review. Make a list of all the information to
be covered – chapters, notes, handouts, previous quizzes or exams.
If possible, plan time to review in several sessions. Always
evaluate and adjust the study plan.）

整理重點筆記
Prepare Study Sheets：
溫習考試範圍資料，將主要題目的內容整理成撮要，以圖表或大綱形式表示，方便自己消化吸收，並在最後階段時作快速記憶。（Look
over the material to determine the major topics that have been
covered and relationships between or among them. Prepare study
sheets that organize the information e.g. charts, mini-outlines for
each major topic.）

進行模擬考試
Make up practice exams：
嘗試做模擬考試，跟正式的一樣，如考試時間，可用書或不可用書等。
如果是目標性考試，試題都能在課堂資料中找到，大家可重溫本節第一課之做筆記，如資料包括大量圖表，便須考慮那些題目可能由圖表引伸出來。
如果是申論式考試，問題通常來自課堂筆記或課本，而應付此類試題，可製作大綱或組織圖，可參考本節第三課之製作資料圖，將資料統整出來，自能掌握問題答案。
（Try
to make up practice exams that are as close to the actual exam as
possible. Take mock exams under simulated test conditions e.g. time,
with or without books.
For
objective
exams, mock examination questions can be generated from questions
you have written in your text in the margin of your class notes. If
the material includes many graphs or diagrams, consider what types
of questions can be generated from these.
For
essay
exams, mock exam questions can be made by using the general
questions from your notes or textbook reading. To study for essay
exams, try to produce outlines or organizational charts for as many
essay question topics as you can.）

準時到達試場
Arrive on time：
詳細閱讀應考科目的考試規則，在考試前一天，應該準備所須物品工具，並檢查清楚有沒有遺留。到考試當天，必須準時到達試場，甚或提早三十分鐘到達，以熟悉場地情況，減輕在陌生環境應考的緊張情緒。（Prepare
everything you need for exams one day before the date of exam. Plan
to arrive on time, if possible, arrive before 30 minutes and make
yourself familiar with the place.）
